Colour Fastness Tester

Paramount Scientific Instrument Co has launched it latest model launderometer, Digi-Wash, which can be used for finding the colour fastness of textile materials to washing, irrespective of their composition (cotton, linen, man made fibres, wool) and their form (fibre, yarn or fabric). The instrument is also suitable for finding the colour fastness against bleaching and dry-cleaning. The main bath of the unit is made of stainless steel and is fitted with two special heaters, which provide the required temperature to the water during testing. A fine Pt-100 sensor senses the temperature and gives it on the digital indicator. The temperature is measured within _?"2C as per the ISO. Digi-Wash is supplied with eight leak-proof stainless steel jars. Each jar is individually numbered for ease of operation during testing and has a neoprene ruber gasket for perfect sealing. The main bath is fitted with imported inlet and outlet valves, which can operate with ease and convenience. Parts attached to these valves are made of brass for rust-free operation. The control unit of the DigiWash is an exclusive, user-friendly feature. It has a presettable digital timer and a digital temperature indicator-cum-controller. The time and temperature can be set as per the desired test and the same is visible even from a distance. Once a test is completed, it gives a siren and stops automatically.
