Burden Measuring Apparatus

Transformers must be operated in a definite secondary load range to work linearly and to produce useable measuring results. For the determination of this burden, HCK has developed the burden measuring apparatus BM-1. The unit's three-lined, LED display shows voltage, current and apparent power simultaneously. It also offers the quadripole method especially for measurements on low-impedance loads. With this measuring method, measuring errors due to voltage drops over the supply cables are eliminated. The product is designed for the connection to a mains supply of 230 V, 50 Hz.
