Accelerometer (capacitive), high accuracy

Chennai-based Integrated Process Systems manufactures a high accuracy capacitive accelerometer from Kistler Instrument. This belongs to a new, high performance capacitive K-beam accelerometer series. This new model series, are complete, calibrated sensors combining sensing element and integrated electronics packaged in hermetically sealed titanium, ground isolated housing. The sensor operates from a single power supply between 3.8 and 16 V with 1 mA typical current consumption. When powered by a 9 V alkaline battery, the accelerometers will operate satisfactorily for 2,000 hours. The 8310 A series is ideal for making steady state or low level, low frequency measurements with a resolution of 100 pg. The series is available in 2 and l0 g ranges, sensitivities of 1,000 and 200 mV/g, respectively, and frequency in the range of 0 to 300 Hz. These new sensors operate over a temperature range of ? 40 to +85 deg C.
