Thermostat

Elmech Industries offers Thermostat, Duostat. This is a single pole brass stem thermostat with double pole safety cut out under the brand name Elmi, for water heaters, geysers, oil baths, boilers and various other similar applications. The differential expansion of brass tube in conjunction with a bimetal rod causes the opening of snap action switch located in the Duostat head. In case of abnormal temperature rise, the snap deflection of the bimetallic disc fixed on the base plate opens the cut out switch, which can be manually reset by pressing the reset button. Duostats has a standard temperature range of 30 to 85°C differential approximately 10°C. The safety cut out disc temperature is factory fixed at any temperature between 60 and 120°C (in steps of 10°C) in 16 A 250 V AC rating. This is available with the stem length of 7" (175 mm) and 11" (275 mm) with a stem diameter of 6 mm. Duostat can be plugged directly into the heating element with the help of fasten terminals, thus saving mounting time.
