Thermal Imager

Testo India Pvt Ltd has launched a Thermal Imager, Testo 885, in unique camcorder design, with 320 x 240 pixels and NETD < 30 mK, to measure infrared (IR) energy emitted by surfaces remotely. The IR energy emitted by the object is focused on to an infrared detector; the laws of physics relate the IR energy emitted by the object to the temperature of the object. The thermal imager converts this infrared energy into a heat picture of the object, which in thermal imaging terminology is known as a Thermogram. Different colours represent different temperatures in the thermogram, providing users with vital information on the operating condition of the machine, which helps take corrective actions. Preventive maintenance engineers have used thermography for many years to inspect motors, circuit boards, switchgear, electrical connectors, bearings and pumps, etc. Testo 885 has 76,800 temperature measuring points in every image it sees, every detail on the measured object. This makes it easier to detect anomalies and weaknesses from greater distances. It also comes with professional reporting and analysis software and a host of accessories.
