PEPL"s Temp-Max transmitter is a highly reliable and economical substitute for conventional temperature scanners. It accepts up to 6 RTD inputs, selects highest for local display of temperature, and gives a corresponding 4-20 mA optical and galvanic isolated output on 4-wire 230 V AC version. It is also available in 2-wire 24 V DC version. It is ideally suited for control and measurement of bearing and winding temperatures of HT motors. There is no false tripping because of analogue circuitary. The housing of tempmax is high impact ABS (IP-65 class) in 2-wire version and cast aluminum (IP-65 class) in 4-wire version. Standard features include input/out isolation and lead resistance compensation. The advantage of this unit is saving in wiring cost as it uses only 2-wire right up to control room and also saving in I/O modules slots when used in PLC based system, ie, one analogue mA input for tempmax Vs six analogue RTD inputs otherwise. These instruments have been tested for high voltage test, insulation resistance test, dry heat test, cold test, damp test and vibration test at National Laboratories.
