Infrared Thermometers

VPL Chemicals offers infrared thermometers. These infrared thermometers are used to measure the surface temperature of an object without physical contact. The optical sensors installed in the thermometers sense the surrounding energy (emitted, transmitted and reflected) and focus on to a detector and then the converter calculates this energy and displays the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit. Different parameter ranges are available, viz., temperature from –30°C to 550°C and -50°C to 1200°C. The price of the unit depends on the accuracy and distance to spot ratio. The company has 12:1 and 16:1 distance to spot ratio units.
