Gas Actuated Thermometers

Tecsis, GmbH offers Gas Actuated Thermometers, which is of chemical version and accuracy class 1,0. The measuring system in the gas thermometers consists of the stem, capillary and Bourdon tube in a case. These parts are connected to form a unit. The complete measuring system is filled with an inert gas under pressure. A temperature variation causes the internal pressure in the stem to change. The deflection of the Bourdon tube thus caused is transmitted to the pointer by a movement. A bimetallic element is fitted between the movement and Bourdon tube to compensate for fluctuations of ambient temperature at the case. A silicone filled version is available as an option for service at measuring points subject to strong vibration. The filling damps the measuring system when mechanical vibrations occur, thus producing a steady indication. At the same time, good lubrication of the moving parts is achieved. A version with rotating case (360?) and pivoting case (90?) allow the thermometers to be aligned as desired under all installation conditions. In conjunction with a corresponding thermowell, these thermometers can also be used with aggressive media. An extensive range of standard versions facilitates a variety of applications. In addition, special customized versions are available. Some of the other models offered are T359, T368, T369.
