Digital Thermometer

The new microprocessor based flameproof digital thermometer, Model DTM 700C, from Global Electronics is a high accuracy true flameproof thermometer with integrated Modbus RTU communication. The instrument enclosure is certified for use in Gr IIA, B environments as per IS 2148 ? 2004. This instrument covers a wide range, from -100 to + 400?C with a resolution of 0.1?C over the entire range. It is designed for compliance under 21CFR Part 11 requirements. The unique design of this instrument allows operation of all the functions including calibration without opening the instrument cover. This gives complete protection to plant and personnel in hazardous areas without any compromise on safety regulations. An important feature is the single or two point calibration from the keyboard. There are no potentiometers to adjust, thus eliminating any accidental change in calibration. The integrated Modbus RTU communication in 700C allows up to 30 thermometers to be connected to any data acquisition or PLC system using only a single 2-core cable. This eliminates the cabling and the Data logger that is used with conventional thermometers and makes the display and recording of process temperatures very cost effective and affordable. The direct digital communication also ensures that there will never be a difference between the locally displayed value and the value that is logged by the Data Acquisition system. Programmable Hi and Lo limits with visual annunciation LEDs are a standard feature. The instrument enclosure is compact and wall mounted.
