Dew Point Apparatus

The Dew Point Apparatus is the most economical, simple, errorless system for spot-checking of dew point temperature of any compressed air/gas. This consists of a closed cylindrical glass with two chrome-plated tubes, a low range thermometer (-50 to +40?C) and a dry ice maker. Air/gas enters into cylindrical glass through one chrome plated tube and exhausts. The other chrome-plated tube is centrally placed in the cylindrical glass and the thermometer is placed in it. Dry ice (solid Co2) is made with the help of dry ice maker and a CO2 gas cylinder. Some ether/acetone is poured in the chrome-plated tube having the thermometer. Slowly dry ice pieces are put in this liquid to reduce the wall temperature of the chrome-plated tube. At a particular temperature the dew frost starts forming on the walls of the tube and the same temperature can be noted from the thermometer. This is the dew point temperature of that particular gas or air.
