Particle Size Analyser

Smart Sizer-10 is a computerised particle size analyser. All operations, data regression and output are performed with a menu-driven user-friendly software. It measures sedimentation rate of particles in powders suspended in liquid medium. This rate being a function of particle dia-meter, particle size at any time is computed. Cumulative mass distribution of particles in terms of Stokesian diameter from 100 to 1 micron is presented. Analysis time can vary between 15 and 60 minutes depending upon the powder and liquid densities and liquid viscosity. Powder sample is required to be taken in a dispersed form in a suitable liquid. Data is presented in linear graphical, bar graphical as well as tabular forms. User areas include: minerals, cement, precipitated silica, alumina, catalysts, adsorbents, ceramics, refractories, abrasives, personal care products (cosmetics), fillers, powder metallurgy, pigments, paints, dyes and pharmaceuticals.
