ELECTRO CHEMICAL ANALYSERS

Swiss Engineers offers Electro Chemical Analysers. It is designed and manufactured indigenously for the gravimetric analysis of non-ferrous metals and alloys. It is built in a wooden cabinet with overall dimensions 10" x 12" x 21", weighing approximately 15 kg, and lined with anti-corrosive material - Formica. It operates on 230 V AC, 5 A input giving an output of DC at 10 A at 12 V maximum. Accurate weighed quantity of sample to be analysed is dissolved in strong acidic medium and desired electrolyte is prepared. This electrolyte is analysed with a suitable constant current through platinum/ 10% iridium electrodes-cathode and anode. Difference in weights of the electrodes before and after the electrolysis gives the weight of individual element. Technical data: stirrer is provided with stepless speed regulator in glass rod; autostat for regulating required electrolysis current; interchanging polarity switch for electrodes-cathode and anode; double range DC ammeter 0-1/ 0-10 A with selector switch; DC voltmeter 0-15; pair of stainless steel holders for installing electrodes; set of 3 Kit-Kat fuses, 5 A mains, 1 and 10 A for DC ammeter; and adjustable height stainless steel beaker support. All operations are indicated, by Neon lamps and anodised labels. Additional facilities: 250 W heater with Simmerstat energy control switch and neon lamp; 60 minutes electrical timer with buzzer; and On-Off switch and neon lamp.
