Boiler Efficiency Monitoring Packages, Effimax 2000/3000

Forbes Marshall has introduced the EffiMax 2000 and 3000 Boiler Efficiency Monitoring Packages, designed to provide operators with precise and up-to-date feedback of their systems. By monitoring key parameters, such as flue gas oxygen levels, stack gas temperature, blowdown losses, radiation losses, feed water temperature and density compensated steam flow rate, the user can effectively decide on what action should be taken to optimize boiler operation. To further functionality and effectiveness, the EffiMax 3000 provides real-time readings of oil/gas flow, direct steam to fuel ratio, and total fuel consumption. The central processing unit continuously compiles these data and calculates the boiler's efficiency in accordance with British Standard's recommendation, BS845. The figure is then compared to the boiler manufacturer's stated optimum efficiency to determine overall performance. Operators can now, more than ever, monitor and improve the functioning of their systems with accurate real-time data. With the end-goals of lowering fuel bills, increasing profits, and improving plant efficiency, these streamlined packages avoid the need for more expensive Distributed Control Systems, guessing, or sampling and manual calculation. Operators agree utilizing the EffiMax drastically changes the way they operate their boilers. Display features: the EffiMax 2000 and 3000 display all measured parameters, calculated losses, savings, and efficiency parameters on a touch-screen. The boiler operator can see all the data on the screen, along with the trend and alarm screens. The alarm values can be set by the operator. In addition, all parameters can also be linked to the user’s PC provided with the accompanying user-friendly data acquisition and diagnostic software package. The software provides analytical information, which is extremely useful for system operators.
