Pressure Indicating Sensor Film, Pressurex

Pressurex, a thin flexible film that instantly maps and measures pressure distribution and magnitude between and two mating or contacting surfaces. Pressurex shows precisely how surfaces deform and engage under stress. The film is sensitive enough, in many applications, to show surface abrasions. Pressurex film measures pressure in eight different ranges from 2 - 43,200 PSI (0.14 - 3,000 kg/cm²). When placed between two contacting surfaces, the film instantaneously and permanently changes colour. This colour change is directly proportional to the actual pressure applied. Precise pressure magnitude is easily determined by comparing the resultant colour intensity to a colour correlation chart (conceptually similar to interpreting Litmus paper). No training or instrumentation is required. Pressurex is virtually indispensable for manufacturing process control and machine/component inspection. It is ideal for hundreds of industrial, electronic and electrical applications.
