Contact Pressure Gauges

MTC designs and manufactures a series of contact pressure gauges.The sensing element is Bourdon tube/diaphragm/capsule. These gauges serve to measure and control pressures by switching on and off electrical equipments such as pumps, motors, turbines, blowers or audible or visible alarms for signalling irregularities. They are available on 100 mm and 150 mm dial sizes to meet every range of service from minimum 100 mm WC to 1,000 kg/cm2. Magnetic contact device is highly resistive to vibrations and fluctuations having sparkless operation thus minimising arching damage to the contacts and giving longer life-span. The electrical contact terminals are positioned by a removable key at the required make/break setting against the instrument dial. During the operation, when. the instrument pointer passes this setting, it breaks or makes the contacts by picking up or leaving the moving arm against the pressure of a hair spring whilst the set arm remains stationary. Suitable material is used for contacts having high resistance to arching and good conductitivbility range to high voltage/low current requirements. For increased contact performance under specific adverse conditions, alternative alloy contact materials can be offered on request. These gauges are supplied with a junction box provided on a periphery of the case for radial/ bottom connector instruments, and on the back side for back connection gauges.
