Atex Pressure Switches, Baseefa Approved

Orion Instruments has released a new range of flameproof pressure switches, pressure differences and vacuum switches for hazardous areas. These Baseefa approved switches are available in ranges right from 1.5 mbar to 600 bar. The salient feature of these switches is that the setpoint is visible from outside, without having to open the cover. The cover is chained to the body. Various types of micro switches like hermetically sealed, with gold plated contacts for low voltages and currents, DPDT, with variable differential can be supplied to customise the product to any application. An internal lock screw ensures that the setpoints stay set. Two earthing connections are provided, one external and one internal. To avoid access to the micro switch, a separate terminal block is provided for wiring. This ensures that the micro switch position is always retained. Almost always used as a safety interlock, this is vital for the functioning of the pressure switch, the large flame paths, make it a very safe option for use in areas classified for gas groups IIC. Grey cast iron enclosures can also be supplied for mining applications. For highly corrosive atmospheres, SS enclosures too can be provided. A variety of sensing elements make these switches suitable for virtually any media. The switches can be supplied even with flanged end connections. These switches find applications in refineries, oil and gas, offshore platforms, pharmaceutical plants, etc.
