Copy Counter

Baumer Make Copy Counters are used for counting newspapers and magazines in one lap stream. The SCATEC family of laser copy counters is suited to counting newspapers and magazines in one lap stream. The recognition principle used by SCATEC is based on a patented optical edge detection method. This method renders the SCATEC family extremely insensitive to colors. Matte to high-gloss printed objects (e.g., gold labels) can be reliably registered up to the maximum counting rate. The SCATEC family provides solutions that are optimally tailored to the most varied applications. The SCATEC-10 registers copy thicknesses from 0,1 mm and up and allows counting rates up to 3 million copies/hour. It can be programmed either by way of the integrated panel with text display or using special software for analysis and parameter setting. The SCATEC-15 also has a CAN interface that can be used to retrieve all data or to program the sensor for a new product. An integrated retroreflective sensor registers and analyzes the gaps in the lap stream. The SCATEC-2 can reliably count objects in the range up to 120 mm despite its compact housing (110 x 50 x 30 mm). Copy thicknesses from 0,2 mm and up are registered without problems at a maximum counting rate of 600,000 copies/hour.
