Teledyne Brown Engineering Hastings Instruments, USA, manufactures mass flowmeters. Model HFM is useful for leak testing, vapour deposition and other critical applications. Its proven reliability and a wide range of capacities with temperature compensation and response time make it suitable for many other applications also. It is compact in size with a 15-pin subminiature D connector. This makes integration and connection with electronics system simple. The ranges available are from as low as 0- 10 SCCM to a high-flow range of 0-500 SLPM. HFM flowmeters come with standard pressure rating of 500 PSIG and optional 4-20 mA output. Higher pressure units of 1,500 are also available. A replaceable sensor and modular construction drastically reduce service downtime.
