High-G Shock Accelerometer

The Model 350B02 Shock Accelerometer from PCB Piezotronics, USA, measures high-g accelerations associated with pyroshock and high-level mechanical impacts. Mechanical and electrical filters prevent excitation of the sensing element due to high-frequency input. Built-in micro-electronics provide a low-impedance signal capable of being transmitted over long cable lengths with virtually no degradation in signal quality. Constructed with a ceramic shear sensing element, this sensor provides a sensitivity of 0.1 mV/g with a measurement range of 50,000 g. The unit is case isolated to prevent ground-loop problems.
