Bomb Calorimeter

Cole-Parmer India offers the new IKA® C 5000 fully automatic Bomb Calorimeter for adiabatic, isoperibolic, and dynamic measurements – all in one system. The IKA C 5000 is the most advanced bomb calorimeter, which offers a free selection of working method to the user. Used to measure heat released or absorbed during a process, bomb calorimeters calculate the Gross Calorific Value (GCV) of a solid or liquid. The IKA C 5000 is the only bomb calorimeter to feature three separate GCV determination methods in one instrument – adiabatic, isoperibolic, and dynamic. It is a universal calorimeter for all types of fuels, with the highest level of automation possible equipped in the instrument. The user friendly and menu controlled software adds to the automation of the instrument. Except for the sample preparation, all the other processes that are necessary for determining the GCV of a solid or liquid sample are completely automated with the C 5000. These processes include filling and emptying of water, oxygen, venting of the gases and the calculation of the GCV. The C 5000 technology as well as the measuring procedure itself has been validated by all accepted standards such as DIN 51900, ASTM D240, ISO 1928, and BSI. A single bomb covers the GCV as low as 375 Kcal/kg and as high as 12000 kcal/kg. The bombs available are normal bomb and special halogen resistant bombs.
