Micro Hardness Tester

Omni Tech offers a low cost micro hardness tester for measurement of low load Vickers hardness. Two models are offered, one with manual reading and another with digital display associated with printer facility. Models MVH I and MVH II come with automatic loading/unloading facility. The load selection is done by graduated drum. Precision optical and indentation alignment leaves no chance to shift the indentation image from the selected field of view. One gets distortion free indentation as of perfect indenter and loading mechanism. Test loads are from 10 gf to 1000 gf. Magnification of optics is up to 400 X. The system confirms not only indirect but also direct verification as per JIS B-7725, ASTM E 92-82, IS: 1754 (PART 2), IS: 1501 (PART,). One can have computerised system with an attachment of Metatech Quantimet image analyser that can also be retrofitted on manual version. The system projects indentation on the screen, which then measured by mouse, gives direct hardness values. All the other data maintenance can be associated with print options as per operator’s choice. With the special software one can get direct effective case depth curve in standard or customised reporting format. Optionally the instrument is supplied with facilities like 35 mm SLR photomicrography knoop indenter and host of accessories required for holding of variety of critical components.
