Precision Measuring Instruments Co offers Metaltester for every kind of metal – both very hard and soft – suitable for flat, round and irregular pieces, with no need to adjust. The accuracy is ±0.5 HRC for thin surfaces: up to 0.08 mm thickness and large parts. The Metaltester portable hardness tester provides quick and accurate measurement of Rockwell, Brinell or Vickers hardness values anywhere in, or outside the manufacturing facilities. It can be used to test most metals including: chromium surfaces, nitrided surfaces, aluminium, brass, copper, bronze, and hard or soft steels regardless of thickness. A diamond indenter assures accurate hardness readings on all surfaces. Three interchangeable test heads enable the user to perform tests on a variety of different shaped samples or finished parts. A stand is available to facilitate testing of small, and difficult to handle parts. Light weight and compact size makes it an extremely effective hardness tester for use on any surface of large, cumbersome samples or manufactured parts. The narrow, extended head is ideal for measuring hard to reach surface such as the inside of castings, finished housing, or machined surfaces. The microprocessor-based controller can store more than 300 test results simultaneously, or be connected directly to a computer through the RS-232 interface, to a stationary or portable printer, making the Metaltester a practical and versatile hardness tester.
