Hardness Testing Machine

Instron Wolpert of Germany offers a new state-of-the-art technology Rockwell hardness testing machine, Model Testor 2000 Series, basically designed by Wilson, a part of Instron Corp, USA. This is radical, new design in hardness testing which combines precise measurement with a range of features which make die testing faster, easier and more productive. With its improved reproducibility and accuracy, the machine considerably outperforms conventional hardness testers. Key features are: test forces applied electromechanically through a closed-loop system; the measuring head moves down to test sample, eliminating the need for a feed spindle, which makes testing faster; force and depth are measured directly in the test axis; superior frame stiffness; precise control of load and load application; control panel is simple to understand and can be adjusted to any workinc, height; focused, fibre-optic specimen lighting ensures operation without eye strain, clamping cap included with each machine as standard; shape-coded function keys well arranged to make work easier and faster; and, exhibits exemplary ergonomic design. The control panel display is based on Windows 95, for evaluating the hardness value, conversion to various scales conforming to DIN or ASTM standard, correction factors, tolerance limits, testing times, test method storage, RS-232 or RS-485 interface, calibration functions, etc. The display shows graphical representation of statistical evaluation. The device is compatible, robust, universal in nature and can be configured to customer specific production line requirements. The machine can be offered as normal Rockwell machine, superficial machine or a combination of both.
