Automatic Spring Tester

Kalpak Instruments & Controls offer Automatic Spring Tester, STM-01. Its capacity is 100 gm/1 kgf. It is a essential test equipment for spring manufacturers as well as spring users, since springs often play a key role in a mechanism and can affect the performance of the product/ assembly. These testers enable automatic, accurate and quick measurement and logging of parameters like tensile/ compression load, deflection, spring rate at user defined heights and/or Loads. The unique group testing feature enables programming up to 99 different of spring types and selection of appropriate group as per the component to be tested. It offers a user friendly programmable spring tester using advanced micro controller technology that can be interfaced to PC/ printer through suitable ports. Accurate length measurement is assured with zero backlash ball screws and accurate length sensors instead of commonly used inaccurate lead screws. Load measurement of the order of 0.1% of the full-scale load capacity is provided load cells. Use of two selectable load cells enhances the load testing range of the machine. Springs can be tested by using stepper drive, at test speeds from 1-100 mm/min with accuracy better than 0.1%. Electronic controller allows selection of multiple options such as load cell, tensile/ compression test mode, preset spring height/ load, unit of load measurement (kg/lb/N), as also other user defined test parameters in a user friendly manner through a keypad. Tester measures the Load Vs Deflection values at 3 programmed heights. The test report details are stored on PC and can be recalled, as needed providing a reliable quality record as per ISO requirements. The other models available with capacities are STM-10 (capacity 1 kg/10 kg), STM-300 (50 kgf/300 kgf), STM-1000 (capacity 100 kg/1000 kg).
