Updated Master Readout System

The Master digital readout system now displays absolute, incremental and distance-to-go position information to quickly ensure the operator of precise positioning, says the builder. The system uses the same precision glass scale linear encoder technology that is said to provide accurate and reliable performance to all Acu-Rite readout systems. The line includes application-specific models designed to enhance productivity for general purpose, milling and turning applications. The Master-MP for milling includes a programmed subroutine to assist the operator with automatic calculation of hole patterns and the location of mid-points, has a 99-step memory for simple part programming, and can store nine different tool offsets and datum points. The Master-TP for turning can store nine tool offset and datum points, and offers radius/diameter displays. The "axis hold" feature provides an accurate method to establish workpiece zero on a manual lathe. The Master-G general purpose line provides features such as auto-error compensation, remote zero reset, edge finder input, and last position recall that enhance accuracy and free the operator from manual calculations. The Master-G is beneficial for operations such as grinding, and can be ordered witfi a CFI option for enhancing EDM machines.
