Level Indicator For Plastic Tanks

MODI has developed low-cost remote reading, electronic level indicators for fibreglass reinforced plastic (FRP) tanks. The system consists of a sensor to be mounted on the flat spar on top of the tank. User has to make a 1/2"dia hole in the top of the tank, through which will pass a strong nylon cord carrying a float. The other end of the cord carries a counter-weight which runs outside the tank. The indicator can be mounted any distance away from the tank, and the 2 are connected by an ordinary 3-core cable. As the float goes up and down according to the level in the tank, the sensor generates a signal, which is fed back to the indicator and shown on the digital display there as a level in metres. Sensors can be given for virtually any type of liquid. Three models of indicators are available. System 113 gives level indication only. System 213 gives level indication plus alarm and system 313 gives level indication plus automatic pump control.
