Full Line Of Digital Readouts

Newall will feature its full line of DROs which are said to withstand the contaminants typical of most machining operations. Key to the systems are the company"s linear transducers which consist of nonmagnetic, stainless steel scales which are impervious to coolant, oil, dust, dirt, chips and graphite. The linear scales are maintenance free since none of the measuring components are exposed to the rigors of the shop environment. The reader head is totally encased as well, enabling it to operate even when submerged in oil or coolant. Two types of transducers are offered. The Spherosyn is available in lengths up to 432 ft with switchable resolution of 0.0002" or 0.0005 ", and with accuracy of ?10 microns for the first metre of travel plus 5 microns for additional metres. The Microsyn is available with switchable resolutionsof 0.00005", 0.0001", 0.0002"or 0.0005", accuracy of ?5 micron/metre and lengths up to 40". Both transducers come with a lifetime scale warranty. The digital readout cabinets include the DP7 Digipac designed for genera! machining applications; the DP7 Lathepac featuring tool offsets and a tool library; the DP7 Millpac with tool diameter compensation, bolt hole circle routines and arc contouring; the Sapphire Knee Mill package for knee mill applications; and the DPG easy-to-use DRO cabinet.
