Radar & Ultrasonic Measurement of Levels

The Series 50 from Vega consists of three sensor families: radar, radar at the rope and ultrasonics. The radar and ultrasonic sensors are loop powered as they transmit the measuring signal and supply voltage via a two-core line. A maximum of 15 sensors can be connected to a two-core line. The development of the sensors was primarily based on a man-machine interface, resulting in compact sensors entirely adapted to the application process in respect of material and design. These sensors can be guided with a self-explanatory operation program which adopts the structure of human perception and understanding by means of pictures, graphics and visualisation.
