Switzer Instrument Limited, offers a complete range of Level Instruments from Delavan, U.S.A. The Delavan series of level instruments offered are of Ultrasonic, Microwave and RF Capacitance type. The operating principle of RF capacitance type level swithes involves energizing the sensing probe with a radio frequency signal. When the process level changes, a change of capacitance occurs resulting in a very large change of frequency. This change is detected and compensated with preset values in the electronic measuring circuit. After proper amplification, this signal is used to either give a contact output or 4-20 mA DC signal to operate relays. Instruments are available either with integral or remote mounted electronics, single point or dual point level switches. Typical applications include detection of liquids, bulk solid materials, pumps controls, pumps sequencing, free flowing materials, high temperature handling with special purpose probes, special design to detect ignoring material buildup, etc. Special features such as superior system diagnostics, remote calibration, built-in driven force field/guard, built-in coating rejection, field selectable failsafe modes and many more are available.
