Intelligent Flow Controller for Air

Godrej Electricals & Electronics offers ControlAir, an Intelligent Flow Controller (IFC) that controls the air flow and pressure being delivered to the plant. Controlair IFC is designed to operate at the intermediate point of the compressed air system, i.e., on the downstream of dryers/receivers and upstream of main piping distribution system. ControlAir IFC creates useful storage, which isolates compressors from demand side peaks and troughs to provide a stable air supply at optimum pressure. It monitors demand side rate of change of pressure and releases only required amount of storage air to satisfy the peak demands instead of starting additional compressors. Thus energy is saved through reduction in mass of air and reduction in load period of compressors. A 16-bit microprocessor controller is at the heart of the IFC system. The microprocessor senses the rate of change of demand and accordingly directs the IFC to increase/decrease the downstream flow/pressure. The microprocessor user interface employs simple and intuitive controls combined with a backlit LCD display as shown below enabling "language free" deployment. The company also offers Remote Data Logger with USB Pen Drive Interface.
