Fluid Level Sensor & Indicator

Advanced Sensor Research Organisation has developed low cost, high accuracy Fluid (water and oil) Level Sensors for measurement of quantity of fluid stored in a tank. These sensors can also be used for tank water level measurement, petrol or diesel level measurement, milk or cold drink level measurement. The sensor body is made of stainless steel and sensor capacitance changes with changing fluid level. The sensor can work with non-conductive and partial conducting fluids and does not pass any direct electric current into fluid. This sensor has non-conducting inner electrode and outer metal shield. On top of the sensor is miniature signal transmitter electronics. The sensor’s electronics is powered by 12 V, 20 mA power source. The sensor signal transmitter transmits signal information in 4-20 mA current mode on the same power line and does not require any extra wiring for signal transmission. Length of the power cable can be up to 500 m. Power cable is directly wired to the fluid level indicator as shown in the picture below. Fluid level is displayed in LED bar array and can also be connected to computer for data logging and printing or with PLC for online real time fluid level control. As the sensor design is highly flexible, it can also be customised for specific applications.
