Flow Indicating Switch

Model HRM is a piston operated flow switch with an integral 2½” dial gauge to provide flow indication in the field. The flow switch with proven performance over more than 2 decades can be used with water or oil to monitor the flow rate and provide alarm contacts when the actual flow exceeds or falls below a pre-fixed flow limit. The piston with its embedded magnet while moving in relation to the flow inside the switch body causes an externally fixed instrument quality snap acting micro switch/or reed switch to change its contact position. The position of the micro/reed switch is adjusted to set the switch to act at the desired flow limit. The movement of the piston is magnetically coupled to the movement assembly of the indicating gauge, whose pointer indicates the flow rate. The magnetic coupling provides total isolation between the process medium, the switch head and the gauge assembly. The piston made of 304 SS with brass or 304 SS body, rated for 100 bar pressure, is available for normal and aggressive media. Closely machined body and piston provide friction free movement even after years of service. Weatherproof gauge case and switch enclosure allow field installation.
