Float Based Liquid Level Indicator

Sigmet has introduced a more economical version of magnetic float based liquid level transducer, which works on the principle of a magnetic float, changing the resistance of a sealed circuit, in proportion to the liquid level. The advantage of the system is that it works with only two wires between sensor and indicator and carries very low signal current. This enables the system to be used more economically in installations where the distance between level sensor and the display unit is great and hence a voltage type transducer cannot be used. Liquifloat can be supplied as a simple display instrument at an economical price. It is also available as a level indicating controller for filling up of overhead tank from a sump or through a bore-well pump. Liquifloat fits ideally to semi-buried or underground reservoirs, to which pressure type level sensors, cannot be fixed. It can be used for water and other liquid chemicals stored in open or closed vessels, whose temperature does not exceed 90?C and the pressure is less than 3 bar. The construction of wetted parts can be from plastic, brass or SS, as per the nature of liquid into which it has to work.
