CM/HM Flow Switches

Switzer Instrument offers highly reliable paddle operated flow switches for monitoring flow of water and aggressive liquids which offer excellent performance at reasonable cost. Model CM flow switch with SS paddle and phosphor bronze bellows is ideally suited for water flow. Different paddle sizes facilitate monitoring wide range of flow in 15 mm to 300 mm line sizes. The flow switch can be set to actuate at either falling or rising flow. The bellows seal ensures total isolation between the process and the switch mechanism. The enclosure protected against ingress of solid particles and dripping water is suitable for indoor use. Model HM uses plastic (GFN) paddle and wetted parts and is best suited for flow of aggressive liquids such as acids, alkalis, chemical solutions and sea water in pipes from 15 mm to 150 mm NB size. Length of the paddle can be easily trimmed by user to suit his pipe diameter. For high pressure applications, stainless steel paddle and wetted parts are available. Total isolation of the switching unit from the process without the use of an O-ring is achieved through a powerful magnetic coupling. An override facility with lock allows the user to prime or manually start a pump even when flow is less than the preset flow. The IP: 66 weatherproof plastic housing allows use in outdoor applications. Both models have 15 A, 250 V AC, A 15 A, 250 V AC, rated micro switch which permits the flow switch to be used directly for pump control.
