Universal Tester For Telecom Line Staff

With the growing sophistication of telephone exchanges and increasing value added services, there is need for a comprehensive, portable and low cost tester for the lineman and production testing and quality assurance staff. Model TCM-1000 (SP) has been designed to address this need. Features: 16 kHz metering pulse checking-it counts the duration and units; in-coming call (CLIP) facility verification at customer/exchange ends; dialled number testing both pulse and tone (DTMF); checking for proper pulse-rate for different destinations; checking whether PR occurs or not at STD booths-sometimes inadvertently PR is given along with 16 kHz and this may have to be checked and reprogrammed to give only 16 kHz pulse to avoid misuse and public inconvenience; portable, rugged and rechargeable battery operation; inexpensive way to cross check meter readings in case of customer complaints of over charging; and testing of exchange equipment prior to despatch/ commissioning. This low cost test instrument is very useful for telecom companies.
