Cambridge Vacuum Engineering offers an Electron Beam Probe System. The system is designed to make measurement as easy and certain as possible with minimum disruption to normal working. The beam is deflected over sensors that collect data on its size and intensity, the probe is placed in the path of the beam in normal weld position and can be simply turned out of the way when not in use, the sensors, set at right angles to each other, monitor the beam both in the direction of the weld and across it, the resulting data provides instant feedback and is in a form suitable for standard analytical methods – showing the key characteristics of the beam in greater detail, operators can then base their management and control of the system on real time monitoring and adjustment. The CVE/TWI system is suitable for most EBW systems and can be retrofitted into most chambers. The system is easy to set up and run. Operators are trained in the operation and interpretation of the monitored data. CVE include the required training in all their beam probe packages.
