Modsonic Instruments Mfg Co (P) Ltd manufactures ultrasonic thickness gauges in DTM-2 series and Edison series. DTM-2 series comes in standard model with bright red LCD display. The measuring range is between 1 mm and 300 mm (steel) and accuracy is +/- 0.1 mm. It has fixed probe and especially useful for castings or attenuative materials. The precision model has a resolution of 0.01 mm. On the other hand Edison series is microcontroller based and pocket sized with one-step calibration feature. It operates on two AA batteries and the measurement range and accuracy are same as that of the DTM-2 series
