Length measuring instrument - TULM 210

Switzerland-based Trimos manufactures length-measuring instrument - TULM 210, which enables precise and quick measurements. The optimal accuracy is guaranteed by superior instrument construction and the use of the Heidenhain measuring system. This has absolute display of values within 210 mm/8.27"range. Selectable resolution on the display unit is of the range 0.001-0.0001 or 0.00002 mm/0.00001"or 0.000001". This instrument with printer and computer connection facility has selectable functions such as min/max/diff. It features adjustable measuring force ranging from 1 to 12 N for internal and external measurements according to size and shape of the standards to be checked. The measuring force adjustment is assured by an air system (patent pending), which can be regulated to different pressures. A constant measuring force eliminates error that may be caused by varying the operator feel. The dimensionally stable solid cast iron base of this instrument is installed on three level points. Precision guide rails control the movement of the basic carriage that includes the sliding measuring unit. The basic carriage movement is facilitated by a hand wheel. The high-precision scale is mounted on the sliding measuring unit. The reading head and connection to the display unit are fixed at the rear of the instrument base. The tungsten carbide-tipped measuring surfaces of the standard probes are strong enough to resist wear and tear. Supporting devices and measuring tables, positioned on the instrument base, facilitate all checking and setting procedures. The overall length, height and width of this instrument are 1,180, 380, 250 mm, respectively, and its weight is 115 kg.
