Container Weighing Systems

LCS Controls offers Container Weighing Systems. Its capacity is ranging from 5 tonnes to 100 tonnes. It provides a weight display both in the field and in the operators cabin. It comprises of a specially developed PIN type loadcell and capacity suitable for weighing range. The spreader rope pulley"s shafts is replaced by four specially designed pin type loadcells. The loadcells are connected to four individual signal conditioner electronics and then on to high speed micro processor based digital indicator. The system is also provided with a remote display located in the operator cabin. The system also has provision for indicating individual load and also cumulative load, i.e., total container weight. While handling containers in container terminal, the container is lifted by a crane from all corners by ropes. The ropes run via pulleys on the spreader. The load on four ropes is measured by four pin type load cells in the spreader pulley shafts. The loadcells were connected to a high speed high resolution micro controller which displays load on individual ropes and also cumulative load in the field. This can also be connected to remote display located in operator"s cabin for displaying cumulative load. The system provides alarm indication for overload condition as well as on trip load condition when cumulative load of system over shoots the preset weight. The container weighing system can be connected to PC for generating customized reports.
