Coating Thickness Gauge

Prolific Engineers offer an advanced series of surface testing equipment produced by Phynix, Cologne (Germany). The series includes coating thickness gauges, portable hardness tester, roughness tester, and wall thickness gauge. The portable coating thickness gauge has been especially designed for non-destructive thickness measurement of all non-magnetic coatings on steel, and also all insulating coatings on non-ferrous metals. The outstanding feature of the gauge probe, which can be used on both steel and non-ferrous metals, is its small sensing head, which is the smallest in the world. This enables measurement of coating thickness on screw heads, plain washers and other exceptionally small parts. The probe automatically identifies the substrate and activates the appropriate measuring procedure. Its uniform coating pressure is kept at very low value (0.3 N), preventing scratches and indentation on sensitive surfaces. It can evaluate statistically up to 10,000 readings including number of readings, mean value, standard deviation, and minimum and maximum reading. It can transfer data to a printer and computer through infra-red interface, eliminating need of a cable.
