X-Y Inspection Station

Daedal, a division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, has introduced a new X-Y Inspection Station for high precision/ high duty cycle inspection applications, including water inspection and handling, mask and die inspection, cell counting and analysis, and coordinate measurement test stands. Providing an alternative solution for high speed, very low profile applications, the X-Y Precision Inspection Positioners provide accurate motion in a configuration that is ideal in situations restricted due to space limitations (eg, microscopes, workstations and vision systems).The X-Y Positioners are less than two inches in height from base to carriage top and incorporate low profile, linear guide rail bearings, precision ground ballscrews, and home limit optical switch assemblies. Incorporating two Compumotor SM162B servo motors (NEMA 16 frame size) with 1,250 line encoders, the X-Y Inspection Positioners can achieve a resolution of one micron (post quadrature). Industry standard NEMA 23 motors are available for applications requiring step motors. The X-Y Precision Inspection Positioners are designed to fit various microscope bases, including Nikon, Zeiss and Leica Ergoplan, and can be incorporated into a wide range of inspection applications.
