Viper Crawler Systems

Testex NDT India offers Viper Crawler System. It is an advanced, lightweight, and modular crawler used to carry ultrasonic and electromagnetic technique scanners for inspecting vertical and horizontal magnetic surfaces. It has strong magnetic wheels and is controlled with a joystick. For ultrasonic thickness inspection, a water pump is used to deliver water under the transducer for a medium. Several viper crawler designs are available for inspecting tanks, stacks, and pipes. Advantages: strong permanent magnetic held system to surface even through several layers of paint; long-lasting high-torque planetary gear mechanism; variable speed and steering via joystick; compatible with any flaw detector.
