Video inspection system

Metrology Equipment has developed Delta Vision, a new video inspection system. State-of-the-art high quality optics and video with versatile hardware and software have been successfuly integrated to meet the most demanding needs of non-contact inspection and measurement. This combines the strengths of a traditional profile projector, toolmaker's microscope, and CMM in one complete compact package. Delta Vision has been designed for engineering metrology and quality control applications, where precise measurement, analysis and positioning control are required. This can be extended to height measurement of components by using the Z-axis. It can also be used for high end metallurgical microscopic examination using high resolution CCD cameras, high precision parafocal zoom lens, coupled with high resolution monitors, either colour or monochrome, depending on user requirements. The precision worktable has X and Y-axis traverses, having an accuracy of under 0.004 mm over the entire traverse. These are connected with linear transducers of 0.001 mm resolution, coupled to the data processor for geometric functions. Fibre optics based illumination system provides bright, even and cool illumination to the part being measured/examined and ensures crisp, clear images on the monitor. An electronic graticule generator in the system enables users to align and pickup edge coordinates and these are used in calculation of geometric configurations such as distance, angle, circle radii and other functions.
