Ultrasonic Inspection System With On-Board Memory

Ultraprobe 9000 is a portable, digital Ultrasonic Inspection System from U E Systems Inc, U.S.A. It offers simplified airborne/structure-borne ultrasound inspection and data logging. The company's new spin and click technology allows users to quickly rotate a desired inspection frequency, adjust headphone volume, store or download data, locate recorded data and enter notes all with just two controls: a dial and a button. The backlit panel displays numeric values of frequency and decibel. A 16-segment bar graph provides a visual representation of intensity swings along with a peak hold indication. The display can be changed to select one of seven functions, such as Snap-Shot for analyzing and comparing various sound levels, or dB Offset to customize instrument baseline decibel levels. On-board memory allows inspectors to log in frequency and decibel readings as well as specialised notations in any of 400 memory locations. The Ultraprobe 9000 also includes a filtration system which provides clear signal processing and sound recognition. All supporting software is on an open platform for easy integration into existing maintenance software and it may be connected to most vibration analyzers. The unit features interchangeable plug-in front end modules: the patented Trisonic Scanning module for airborne ultrasound scanning and a heavy duty contact probe for structure borne inspection. Areas of application are mechanical inspection, leak detection, stream traps and valves and mechanical inspection, among others.
