Scanning Coordinate Inspection Machine

The Chameleon coordinate measuring machine features logic control and evaluation that is part of a Leitz development programme called DATOS (Dimensional Analysis Technology for Optimizing Systems). DATOS, with its algorithms, supports high-speed scanning of familiar and unfamiliar contours and data transfer to an analyzing computer at a speed of up to 200 points per second. The indexable head gives the measuring probe virtually unrestricted access to the workpiece both for point-to-point measuring and in scanning mode. Chameleon's multiple sensing devices combine measurement capability of geometric dimensions with shape measurement and optical measurement technology. Renishaw probe systems and OTM laser sensors are available for functionality.
