Precision Infrared Calibrators

Fluke Hart Scientific division has introduced the new Precision Infrared Calibrators that assists non-experts in productively performing high-quality infrared thermometer calibrations. The two new models, 4180 and 4181, utilize the same size targets used and recommended by thermometer manufacturers and special design technology. The 4180 series puts fast, portable and high-quality calibration within the reach of first time users and seasoned metrologists through careful design and calibration of the instrument. The calibrators address quality issues such as emissivity and size of source effect, which are commonly ignored in other calibrators. In addition, sample calibration procedures for Fluke thermometers are built into the instrument to get users up and running with a minimum of training.

Model 4180 has a temperature range of –15 °C to 120 °C, with radiometric (non-contact infrared) display accuracy as good as ± 0.40 °C, and Model 4181 measures from 35 °C to 500 °C, with radiometric display accuracy also as good as ±0.35 °C.
