Softlog offers Modular Inspection Systems, MGS-01. It consists of a main CPU unit, probe interface modules (PIM) and operator interface panel (OIP). Its modular construction allows for system up-gradation and easy maintenance. If all the options are selected total system will look like: CPU unit - contains processing software, accepts inputs from up to 32 probes, compares the results with the hi and low limits and indicates alarms. It also has a serial communication port for PC interface (RS232), parallel printer port, flash memory for data storage and real time clock; probe interface module (PIM) has the necessary electronics to condition the output of a LVDT analogue probe, it also has a local 4 digit display to indicate the probe reading. It has a local keypad for probe offset adjustments PIM conditions and coverts the probe output for use by main CPU and indicates the actual reading of an individual probe, has three LED indicators Red - Reject, Green - OK, Yellow - Rework, and buzzer for failure/ reject condition; operator interface panel (OIP) - this module has a keypad and LCD display (text display). The required readings (e.g., pre-programmed algebraic relations between PIM1, PIM2 and PIM4) are indicated by this display. Algebraic relations among different inputs (from probes) can be programmed, processed and indicated on the digital display, e.g., Result 1 = P1+P2, Result 2 = (P1-P7)/ 2; and optional accessories include digital input/ output module (DIO) and statistical process interface panel.
