Metal Power Analytical offers H-Scan, a hydrogen analyser that makes it easier to substantially improve both – the quality and the reliability of aluminium castings, by enabling one to precisely control the hydrogen content in the aluminium melt, just before casting: no under or over de-gassing, no rejections and no wastage of time or money. H-Scan uses the reduced pressure technique to measure the H2 content. By controlled solidification, the partial pressure of all the H2 released is accurately measured and related to its percentage by H-Scan. H-Scan gives an accurate quantitative information within 5 minutes of sampling, for the users to optimise the level of de-gassing. H-Scan comes with a quality assurance from the makers of the empower range of products.
