DC Current Monitoring System

Multi Measuring Instrument Co Ltd has launched a portable Multi Channel DC Current Monitoring System for monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting of photovoltaic systems. Model MCM-1600 PV helps in monitoring efficiency of PV system by monitoring the DC current output of 1-16 solar panels at a time. By monitoring and recording the DC current over a period of time, it is easy to identify the damaged/defective or loss making PV panel. The 16-channel MCM-1600 PV system consists of precision clamp on CTs (user can order 1 to 16 clamps on CTs depending on their requirement) and a portable 16-channel data logger that can log average dc current value of each channel at per-selected interval of max up to 1 hour. The MCM 1600PV system has memory capacity to save data up to 70 days with 5 minutes interval.

Thus MCM 1600PV is best suitable during trouble shooting and maintenance of PV systems. The portable data logger module is rechargeable battery powered and a full charge is sufficient for continuous use of 4 days. The base MCM 1600 PV can be powered/charged by 100-240 V AC adapter. MCM 1600 PV has 4 line alphanumeric LCD with contrast adjustment facility and a keyboard to set the logging interval and to set manual or auto logging mode. The recorded data can be displayed on the screen or can be transferred to PC using data transfer software. The optional DC clamp on CTs has 30 mm internal diameter and are supplied with 2.8 mtr cable. MCM 1600 PV provides low battery, over range, logging mode, battery charging indications and has auto power off function.
