Shimadzu's new TNPC-4110 Series online analysers are capable of simultaneous measurement of Total Nitrogen (TN) and Total Phosphorus (TP) in water. Easy-to-handle and simple-to-maintain, the TNPC-4110 analysers are intended for use as automatic water analysers for the water quality regulations currently being prepared for implementation governing total nitrogen and total phosphorous. These nutrients are monitored as indicators of harmful effects of eutrophication of water, which leads to algae growth and red tide. These growths result in insufficient dissolved oxygen in the water and a decrease in aquatic organisms. Sampling, pre-treatment (physical and chemical), digestion, and analysis are performed automatically by the instrument, which will reduce labour, time and cost involved in sampling and pre-treatment.
